Spellfire Play-To-Earn and NFTs — how does it work?
Spellfire is a unique world that stands out with creativity, magical stories, characters, and brings the fantasy aspect for people to love. Realms with kingdoms, cities, battlegrounds, and combat provide the space for villains to become heroes or join the dark side.
Power gained over the last hundreds of years can be lost in a matter of seconds. The thirst for such power brings people into the world of Spellfire.
The Spellfire universe allows the player to collect the most valuable and worthy cards both in the digital world and real life, while simultaneously gaining revenue.
The game is full of adventures, scary monsters, magical creatures, powerful champions, and brave soldiers, but it has a new digital approach — NFT cards, giving players the ability to make real profits using the pay-to-earn system.
First cards have already been listed on OpenSea, but we are still receiving a lot of questions from our community about the P2E system of Spellfire. We’re here to clear things up; There are two main ways for you to earn at Spellfire: NFTs and Magic Tokens. Let’s get more in-depth.
NFT Cards
“Well, what happens when I purchase an NFT card?” — is a question we receive fairly often. First of all, let us clarify — the cards currently available for purchase on OpenSea are Original NFT Cards. These cards are very limited and all of them are numbered. If you are the owner of an original NFT card, you will earn revenue from each copy of your card sold as a Playing NFT Card.
As an example, a legendary card can only have one owner; this original NFT legendary card will be issued 1000 Playing NFT Card copies, with an initial price tag of $200 for each. 90% of the profit will be credited to the owner of the original NFT card, which means they receive around $180 each time a copy is sold (some transaction fees and taxes may apply).
Therefore, original NFTs are rare and can be very profitable. The price of the current NFT cards available for purchase on our marketplace depends on their rarity. The rarer the card, the more expensive and profitable it is.
Spellfire Tokens
Another aspect of the P2E system — Spellfire Magic Tokens. When playing Spellfire games with NFT cards, all cards in play gain experience and earn Magic tokens.
Magic tokens will be available for purchase and sale as a cryptocurrency, and there will be plenty of ways of earning them in-game. 40 million Magic tokens are dedicated to prizes and tournament winnings.
Using these tokens, players will be able to upgrade their NFT cards. Upgraded cards will offer more exciting gameplay, deeper strategy, and most importantly — they will increase in value.
Non-NFT Cards
To play the game, it will not be necessary to own NFT cards. You will still be able to learn and have fun, but you won’t be able to enjoy the P2E aspect of the game.
In the future, physical card decks and booster packs will become available to purchase. Every physical card will have a QR code on the back, which will be scanned with the Spellfire app. Each QR code is unique, meaning each card can only have one owner and they can’t be faked.
The same cards can be played online and offline.
